Body Paragraph

One significant characteristic of  both Chinese and Japanese culture is the family structure, which have both similarities and differences. The first common sameness is that more yong people live with their parents, while there are some differences between the two countries. In Chinese modern families, most parents only have one or two children.  As the Japanese speaker descrides that "Japanese families generally have three or four children." An obviously distinction appears in this repect. The second feature in the family structure is that grandparents always live alone, the yongers usually visit the olders in some certain time, both countries share the similarity. At the same time, according to the speaker's discription, "The anverage longevity is beyond eighty-one in Japan, some older people are still healthy while their age are already one hundred." Such phenomenon is rare in this world. From the conversation, there gives a fact that " Our country has over 130 million people, and many places are too crowded in Japan." This may be a common aspcet in most countries. China has appreximately 1.3 billion people, the distribution of population is different in some areas, some big cities are overcrowding. The last point in common is that the previous generation have more brothers and sisters than this generation. The speaker presents that "My parents have about twelve brothers and sisters in total." However, comparing with this, there is not the same situation in China, just one half those members are commonly seen in Chinese cities. Without doubt, different population and geographcial distrabution mainly influnce the family structure in different countries.

  1. Your assignment was to write your thesis and three topic sentences, not a paragraph. However, this looks good. remember that you should use one quote, You do not have to use too many. Quotations should not be more than 10 % of your total content. Also, use correct citation structure as we learned. This means the source's last name. So you need to change this: "o children. As the Japanese speaker descrides that "Japanese families generally have three or four children." ".

Low income and bad living situation have compeled them to move one place to another, this phenomenon exists from generation to generation. As Joanna presents, in Bangladesh, the refugees are vulnerable to global warming, floods, and other natural disasters. Most of them want to settle down, but actually it is hard to change this condition. Above fifty percent people in Dhaka stay in slums, child missing and trafficking happen frequently. They can't plant cereals as they wish, because these places have no more water and soil. No money and resources, disease should be a big problem. Many countri...

A response to opinions of helping environmental refugees

Rich countries should care and surpport the environmental refugees more. The International Institute for Environment and Development has researched and taken measures to help these homeless people. Climate change, melting ice, etc, has caused the global warming which leads a serious threat to human's living. In Florida and Louisiana, the dwellers are at risk because of the changed sea, "just 4 inches (10 centimeters) could promote flooding" (Handwerk,2004,para. 7). The data means people who live those places are in danger, this will result in more need and insurance when necessary. The situation also occurs in many poor areas. For instance, Bangladesh, a poor country that bears hard by climate change is considered to be supported, as Kakissis (2010) describes, "to receive money from a $100 billion annual green climate fund" (para. 19). This fearful circumstance obviously indicates that refugees a...
