Thesis statements,topic sentences and counter-arguments

Although opponents argue that mobile technology is a distraction in the classroom, it should be beneficial for students and teachers with an appropriate way to use during classes.           The first reason that using mobile technology should be allowed in the classroom is that it has been proved to strengthen the interaction and collaboration among students and teachers.            Now,technology has changed, laptops and smartphones have become so popular. It may be true that traditional learning has been still adopted by a large number of schools and universities throughout the world. However, this doesn't mean that mobile learning can't bring benefits to education and be allowed in the classroom. Consequently, the conclusion is wrong. Moreover, the argument implies that mobile technology is most harmful to students' study compared to the past teaching. This is obviously not true. Therefore, th...

A response to opinions of helping environmental refugees

Rich countries should care and surpport the environmental refugees more. The International Institute for Environment and Development has researched and taken measures to help these homeless people. Climate change, melting ice, etc, has caused the global warming which leads a serious threat to human's living. In Florida and Louisiana, the dwellers are at risk because of the changed sea, "just 4 inches (10 centimeters) could promote flooding" (Handwerk,2004,para. 7). The data means people who live those places are in danger, this will result in more need and insurance when necessary. The situation also occurs in many poor areas. For instance, Bangladesh, a poor country that bears hard by climate change is considered to be supported, as Kakissis (2010) describes, "to receive money from a $100 billion annual green climate fund" (para. 19). This fearful circumstance obviously indicates that refugees a...
